Youll need to connect to your interface ( that one museekd is handling )Ĭonnect to it using your interface password that you create using the musetup command. but dont forget to enter in any menu entry, from 0 to 7.Īfter configuring it, save changes and exit it.Īnd on another terminal window run museeq ( if you are desperate to make it work, you can set it active, then you wont need to configure port forward, but it is insecure, not recommended )Īny other configuration you do by default. enter your username and password.Ģ- peer connections: set the first port to try and last por to try 2240. you can check it running /sbin/ifconfigġ- configure server: set the Port server to 2240 ( it is the default ). Private ip: the ip of my machine in the lan. "Enable" the radio button to enable that "virtual server". In my case, i had to tick the Advanced Tab and create a virtual server with that configuration: open internet browser, like firefox, and type in the address bar: 192.168.0.1 ( the lan ip of your router ) then youll need to log in and do what the link above says to you. To portforward soulseek, click the name of your router model on that link: That will show you a menu and you enter all configuration needed easily.īut if you are using a router, you will need to configure portforwarding to be able to use museek+.Įven the windows client is needed the portforward thing when using a router, but lots of people doesnt know it. This is the only command youll need to run as root for using museek+.įor the first time youll use it, run musetup, just type Installation and configuration of museek+:įirs of all, it now comes in with fedora extras repo. So im glad to announce those people that museek+ is as good as soulseek-windows or better! I will say why museek+ is better after the installation guide. It was also because all linux clients for soulseek were worst than the windows client. So many problems to download from soulseek servers that they just quit linux. There is a lot of people whom downloads a lot of mp3 on soulseek, andĪlong with that a lot of those people becomes frustrated when they face I didnt find any topic about soulseek for fedora users.
